Workplace support

Some work situations are messy to the point that you wish you had a therapist in the office. With my dual background in clinical counseling and human resources, I offer coaching, mediation, and insight into complex workplace dynamics.

Services

Workplace support services are packaged based on your team or company needs and my assessment of the situation. Before beginning, we’ll have a consultation to determine your goals, what I can provide, and how and when we’ll meet.

Some issues can be managed with a few brief virtual conversations, while other situations may require more intensive, on-site support.

Fees will be made clear in the consult and contracting process.

  • One-time support is a great fit for teams looking for insight or an outsider assessment of what’s working and what might help. This low-contact service allows me to offer general feedback and impressions to one or a few team members or provide insight about a single, specific situation. This is a great fit for getting general support and recommendations for navigating a new team dynamic, building small team morale while managing a change process, or providing support and perspective to a manager, leader, or HR professional who’s feeling stuck in addressing a people problem.

  • A series of 2-10 sessions (held virtually or in person in the Seattle area) is a great resource for getting help navigating workplace situations that need a bit of expert care. This format of support is useful in situations where a work relationship has become toxic or needs focused coaching to get out of a relational or emotional rut, when a crisis happens and the team needs support or education in processing, or in an short-term situation where a regular touchpoint of care would be helpful.

  • For deeper issues in teams, cultures, or companies, ongoing support can be an excellent supplement to all the care happening in house. Consistent, approachable, expert support in communication, strategy, education, mediation, and conflict resolution can wrap around your team in a critical time of change, repair, or growth. Ongoing care lasts as long as you need it and can be as intensive or flexible as your team needs.

Lily Main Ewing, LMHC, SHRM-CP

When I trained as a therapist, I didn’t expect to fall in love with business. But as a business owner, an HR professional in other parts of my career, and a therapist working with adults and couples, I became passionate about solving workplace people problems.

This offering is at the intersection of my passion for offering intentional, focused support to individual people and my passion for strategically supporting the big values of organizations and larger teams.

My style is authentic, engaging, direct, and empowering — I show up as a coach and educator to guide clients through challenging situations. I bring creative solutions to the table to promote growth and repair, and encourage everyone involved as they engage with the process.

My background in business and HR makes me skilled in addressing many parts of the workplace, but I specialize in the following situations:

  • Conflict resolution

  • Communication mediation, support, or education

  • Employee relations

  • Team dynamics — assessment or dynamic repair

  • Workplace mental health

  • Culture questions & employee / group engagement

  • Diversity, equity, and inclusion
