LMHCA Supervision in Seattle
I supervise therapists with an associate license (LMHCA, LICSW, LMFTA) who work with adult individuals and/or couples in Washington state. My areas of specialty and expertise include anxiety, depression, family and relational systems, trauma, somatic and polyvagal therapy, identity exploration and self esteem, and relationship and couple therapy including communication, connection building, premarital counseling, infidelity and trust/bond repair.
I take an integrated approach to therapy and draw from training in models of Emotion Focused Therapy, Gottman, Somatic Experiencing and Polyvagal Theory, and trauma-informed care including Lifespan Integration. My therapeutic approach is generally humanistic and a bit existential, and I have a directive and supportive approach to my work with clients and supervisees.
My approach to supervision is holistic in that I believe being a good therapist requires a healthy relationship with your business and the non-clinical aspects of the job of a therapist. I have been in solo private practice since 2018, and offer private practice coaching to help you build and run a therapy practice that supports you as a clinician and a person.
Our process might include support around topics such as setting your fees, making sure your client documents cover the necessary information required to manage your liability, and finding your balance between being an entrepreneur and a therapist.
In supervision, I move between the roles of a teacher, consultant, and counselor interchangeably. I believe it is my job to help associate clinicians grow in the self of the therapist, and I include an emphasis on helping you develop through the countertransference, imposter syndrome, stress, and overwhelm that can come with the associate period of your career. In supervision, I welcome your authenticity and honest engagement with your self and your work. It is a complicated road to learn how to be a good therapist as well as a messy human being, but I've done it and want to support you in navigating your process.

Frequently Asked Questions
Which licenses do you supervise?
I’m an approved supervisor and can supervise therapists who have an active LMHCA, LMFTA, or LICSW license in Washington State. My license is as an LMHC, and you should always get current info from the Department of Health for your license.
My approach to therapy is grounded in Emotion Focused Therapy, person-centered humanism, somatic and mind-body connection theories, and a bit of existentialism.
Do you offer reduced fee supervision or consultation?
I do not offer reduced fee supervision for associate licenses because of the legal liability that comes with overseeing an associate clinician’s caseload. For fully licensed therapists, I will offer reduced fee consultation on a case-by-case basis.
CAN I HAVE MORE THAN ONE SUPERVISOR?
Yes! You can have as many supervisors as you want or need to support your practice. It can be helpful to have a secondary supervisor if you’re trying to learn different specialities (e.g. couples therapy), or if you learn well by hearing multiple perspectives.
do you offer consultation to fully licensed therapists?
Consultation is available to fully licensed therapists at the rate of $150/h. I’m happy to consult on a one-time basis or in an ongoing relationship (like supervision, but without the legal relationship).
How long are supervision sessions?
Supervision sessions are minimum one hour blocks (50-60 minutes), but can be extended to make sure you have enough support for your practice and hour accrual. We can meet in longer sessions (up to 3 hours at a time) or meet more than once a week.
All appointments are virtual.
I’m a supervisor for LMHCAs in Seattle, but do not see clients or supervisees in person at this time. All appointments are held virtually through SimplePractice.

If you’re struggling personally and are finding yourself triggered and overly impacted by your therapy work, I’d love to work with you. Processing self care, boundaries, transference, and countertransference in the therapeutic relationship can be so valuable in making your career as a therapist sustainable and fulfilling.
-
If you’re hoping to hone your skills with couples work or Emotion Focused Therapy, I provide one-on-one space where you can practice, role play therapy skills, and consult on cases. A mentoring relationship can be an ongoing relationship where we tailor support to meet your needs.

I offer support in creating and fulfilling professional will services for therapy practices. We will meet for an appointment to discuss your wishes for your practice in the event of your sudden disappearance, death, or medical inability to contact your clients, and then I will hold your will ongoing for an annual fee.
The initial appointment will be billed at $250 and last one hour and once your professional will is set up, the annual fee to maintain your professional will is $50 billed at the end of every year.
